Stars at the helm

It's the start of an exciting new documentary series, which brings together some of the world's most talented young sailors for one big regatta - and even more than that: The Sailing Squad!

On the occasion of the 82nd edition of the Bol d'Or Mirabaud, we decided to offer our followers a unique concept, a sort of "Master Chef" of sailing. This mini-series, divided into 4 video capsules, is called: "THE SAILING SQUAD".

The Sailing Squad tells the story of young international sailors who meet for the first time in Geneva during the mythical Bol d'or Mirabaud sailing race. The five young sailors are mentored by double Olympic champion and British TV presenter Shirley Robertson.

They have two days to get to know each other, set up a strategy, discover Lake Geneva and the boat that will take them on this adventure.

A lot of things will happen to them throughout this journey, surprises and above all a lot of emotion, for memories that will remain engraved in their minds forever.

PRESENTATION

I started sailing in 2008 at the Société Nautique Rolloise, where I built my foundations on Optimist. After a few years, I got a taste for competition and work. In 2012, I was welcomed at the Club Nautique Morgiens where I strengthened my taste for effort. This allowed me to be part of the Talent Pool, which is the Swiss Optimist team. This enabled me to train even harder and participate in my first world championships in Riva del Garda in 2013, where I placed 39th/256th! For the World Championships, Argentina brought me luck and my mental preparation paid off! I won the World Champion title. I accomplished one of my dreams. My story continues in the double category where we made it into the top 20 in one year with my teammate, but a difference in our objectives separated us. I chose to continue solo, on the Laser. My project is the story of my youth, a long way towards a dream, the apotheosis of which would be a participation in the Olympic Games.
