The Sailing Squad
Called the 'wizard of the lake' following his multiple victories in the Bol d'Or Mirabaud - including in 2022, for the 8th time - Christian Wahl, a fine strategist, is one of the undisputed experts in Decision 35. With more than 30 participations in the Bol d'Or Mirabaud and 15 podium finishes, he knows every corner of the lake and every wind of Lake Geneva. With his dual experience as a top-level sportsman and manager, Christian Wahl is also at the head of several companies, including BJ office & coffee, a family business founded over 110 years ago by his great-grandparents.
2 Olympic gold medals
Shirley Robertson has been racing boats at an elite level since the early 1990’s. As an Olympic athlete, she was the first British woman to win consecutive Gold medals, and went on to compete in various international classes, campaigning in both TP52s and Extreme 40s to international success. Most recently Shirley has extensive experience as helm on various superyacht racing campaigns. Off the water, Shirley has for over a decade been the face of CNN Mainsail, hosting the prestigious sailing programme for well over one hundred editions.
Further media engagements have included three Summer Olympics, as the BBC's live on water reporter, and the on-course face of BTSport's Live coverage of the 35th America's Cup and recently at the 36th Cup in Auckland was co commentator for the official world feed. She hosts the renowned Shirley Robertsons’s Sailing podcast - worth a listen everyone! And for the last 2 seasons she’s campaigned a Sunfast 3300 alongside her team mate Henry Bomby in the mixed offshore category.

I have always sailed and been forever obsessed with winning an Olympic Gold medal. In 1988, my father won Olympic gold and has been my greatest inspiration. When I was 18, I went full time sailing with the British Sailing Team and won my first European Championship medal. I have since completed 2 Olympic Campaigns, become 470 World Champion in 2019 and won my very own Olympic Gold in 2021. I am now hoping to compete in the first ever women’s America’s up, which will hopefully be a turning point for women in professional sailing.

My focus lies on the olympics with the dream of winning gold at LA 2028. Additionally I am a part time student in business administration and communication.
