The Mirabaud story in Milan dates back to the early 19th century, when Jacques Marie Jean Mirabaud, one of the first bankers of the dynasty, founded Casa Mirabaud, an institution that no longer exists today. In Milan, he conducted trading loans and transactions that introduced him to prestigious families and other established bankers, while raising capital in Geneva, building strong ties between the two cities. He later returned to Geneva where its descendants played a key role in establishing Mirabaud bank as we know it today.
