A graduate of the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Ulm) and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration, Renaud began his career as a member of the Conseil d'État, the highest court in France for issues and cases involving public administration, before embarking on a political career, first as a French member of parliament, then as a government minister. He authored several laws to promote SMEs, facilitating company creation, funding and transmission (Pacte Dutreil). After these public service roles, Renaud joined LVMH, where he headed up the North American subsidiary for four years. He sat on the board of L Capital Europe, a private equity fund sponsored by LVMH. He has personally invested in several companies, including Ahalife, Aptamir, Fontaine Jolival, Finexkap, and Smile & Pay. Renaud is president of the Parsons School of Design Paris. He is currently the head of private equity of Mirabaud Asset Management.
