Job Description
The Chief Financial Officer will cover the following tasks:
- Financial Management: Oversee the work of the finance function (accounting & regulatory reporting) as a whole to to ensure compliance with regulatory and funders requirements; efficient and effective management of the finance function; accuracy and reliability of financial information for Mirabaud Europe and Branches.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead a team of 15 professionals (finance) across European jurisdictions (Lux, France, Spain and UK).
- Support the Bank’s strategic goals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team;
- Monitor, measure and motivate teams performance;
- Follow-up of employees development and resolution of possible conflicts;
- Prepare year end appraisals for the team members;
- Treasury and Balance Sheet Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity within LOESA entities, oversee treasury operations (interest rate and currency risk management, investment portfolio), optimize profitability, cooperate on group liquidity strategies, contribute to expanding cash and balance sheet products, manage relationships with financial counterparties, and monitor compliance with regulatory changes related to payment activities and banking infrastructure.
- Regulatory Reporting & Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations (e.g., Basel III, IFRS, and GAAP), oversee the preparation of reports to regulators, shareholders, and the Board, ensure all disclosures are accurate and compliant, and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities. Act a point of contact for the local regulatory authorities concerning regulatory reporting matters;
- Regularly interact with heads of markets, members of the Executive Committee, MCEU CEO and group head of Finance;
- Oversee the Credit activity in alignment of wider business objectives of the Mirabaud Group by maximizing Credit's contribution to the Company's profitability;
- Maintain a high quality of service by ensuring optimal resource allocation;
- Be actively involved in the monitoring and implementation of changes;
Qualifications
- Existing experience in operating in complex business environments and/or regulated sectors and have the personal qualities to develop strong stakeholder relationships.
- Having had a previous role of CFO, and ideally as Authorized Manager or at the ExCo level
- Demonstrate ‘best in class’ knowledge of technology, change, process improvement and operational management in relevant businesses. Accurate & analytical.
- Possess a balance of strategic and operational experience to enable them to contribute to the bigger picture and to ‘look around corners’, in addition to running the day to day.
- Excellent knowledge of banking procedures and policies;
- Leadership, credibility, team player, excellent communication skills, team spirit and organisational skills;
- Fluent in French and English, other languages are an asset.
