Since Mirabaud was founded in Geneva in 1819, the partners of the banking and financial Group have always demonstrated an active commitment to society. Today, this patronage primarily takes the form of support for the contemporary art scene, whether privately or on behalf of Mirabaud. Mirabaud’s commitment to contemporary art is consistent with the Group’s long-term vision of pursuing management activities that offer high added value.
"Our keen involvement in the FIAC art fair is further evidence of our active support and evolving passion for contemporary art and is the ideal complement to the art collection we have been building up for the past several years", said Lionel Aeschlimann, Managing Partner of Mirabaud. "We are particularly excited to formalise our partnership by supporting the artistic programmes at Place Vendôme. The combination of a contemporary artwork and Place Vendôme, site of Classicism, excellence and continuity, cannot fail to inspire dialogue and emotions that will enrich our way of seeing the world. Reflecting on mankind’s place in the world and engaging with artists are exactly the values that have guided us since the foundation of Mirabaud, nearly 200 years ago."
Mirabaud supports both established talents and young emerging artists, as well as those contributing to showcasing art. The Group has amassed a collection of contemporary as well as older artworks over many years, building a bridge between tradition and modernity. These works are displayed in the various branches of Mirabaud.
In addition to these commitments, the Group is a partner of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMCO) and the Quartiers des Bains association in Geneva, which brings together gallery owners and contemporary art institutions. Mirabaud is also a partner of the travelling exhibition AQUA supported by the United Nations, comprising the works of 30 artists and inspired by the theme of water. The partnership with the FIAC, in the context of the works exhibited at the Place Vendôme, is a clear demonstration of Mirabaud’s active support for the development and promotion of contemporary art.
