In many respects, elite sport has an entrepreneurial dimension: a vision, the means to accomplish it, the capacity to overcome obstacles, and a strong will, all of which are imbued with a substantial amount of effort.
The Mirabaud Group, which has upheld these entrepreneurial values for more than two centuries, is therefore thrilled to support three female athletes in their pursuit of their dreams. Daniela Moroz, a multiple-time world champion in kite foiling, and Sofia Meakin, a world champion in rowing, will compete for a medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Anaëlle Pattusch will compete in the Mini-Transat 2023 as the youngest Swiss sailor ever. Female athletes do not often receive the same support or media coverage as their male colleagues, despite the fact that they are subject to the same career criteria as males. The Mirabaud Group has consequently chosen to support Daniela, Sofia, and Anaëlle in their pursuit of success out of a desire to restore a sense of equilibrium at our modest level.
Each of these three champions, in their respective disciplines, will sail over water, which has been associated with the Mirabaud Group for numerous generations. Since its inception, the Mirabaud Group's dedication to responsibility has been exemplified by the preservation of water, a symbol of life and perpetual regeneration, as well as a scarce and vulnerable resource.

Supported by Swiss sailors Justine Mettraux, Alan Roura, Valentin Gautier and Simon Koster, the young sportswoman is part of the new generation of Swiss ocean sailors.
At only 20 years old, Anaëlle Pattusch is preparing for the Mini Transat 2023, a 4,050 nautical miles (7,500 kilometers) single-handed ocean race between Les Sables d'Olonne and Saint-François in Guadeloupe. This introductory race is one of the essential stages in the career of high-level sportsmen and women who want to become professionals in ocean racing. The crossing is carried out solo on the smallest “Mini” racing boats (6.50 meters), with no assistance or means of communication with land (no satellite weather routing, computer or telephone).
As the project's "Main Partner", Mirabaud is pleased to support a young and talented sailor at the beginning of her sporting career. Women are still a rare breed in this discipline (less than 10%) and we want to use this partnership to encourage female careers. We look forward to following her journey over the next two years until the Mini Transat in 2023.
Since 2022, Daniela has been a Mirabaud Ambassador. Born in San Francisco in the 2000s, Daniela became Formula Kite world champion at the age of 15. This young American athlete quickly established herself as a leader in the world of international Kite Foil. Today, with 6 world titles, 4 "US Rolex Yachtswoman of the year" awards and selections to the US SailGP Team and the US Olympic Sailing Team, she has set her sights on winning a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
A Mirabaud ambassador since 2023, Sofia Meakin was born in 1998 in Geneva and has been rowing since the age of 14. She studies at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne and trains during the week at the National Rowing Centre in Sarnen. She was U23 World Champion in 2019, silver medalist at the European Championships in 2020 and winner of the World Cup in Zagreb in 2021. In 2022, Sofia was part of The Rowing Squad and made it to the podium at the legendary Mirabaud BaselHead Regatta. Mirabaud is delighted to be able to accompany this young SwissRowing athlete in her ultimate quest for a medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
